Meet Grace Clark, Employment Specialist and Training Coordinator

5/29/22

Meet Grace Clark, one of our staff in our new Bloomington office!

  1. Tell us a little about yourself.

I moved to Bloomington in February. I have lived abroad and taught English. Currently I am facilitating a Conversation Club with pre-service teachers at a university in Mexico with the Virtual English Language Fellows program. I am an avid gardener, pen-pal and lover of all animals!

  1. What is your role at Exodus?

I am the Employment Specialist and Training Coordinator in the Bloomington office. This involves helping our clients find jobs in the community, and facilitating training opportunities too!

  1. How did you hear about Exodus and why did you want to get involved?

I was speaking with the ENL coordinator in the local school district in Bloomington to inquire about a position and he mentioned that they would have an increased need for educators in the coming year with the influx of newcomers through the new refugee resettlement program. As soon as I hung up with him, I started searching online and found that Exodus would be providing resettlement services and immediately applied because I have always wanted to work in this field and am so grateful to be a member of this team!

  1. What language(s) do you speak?

I only speak English fluently, but bits and pieces and many languages I have acquired in my travels.
